Heritage Pens at the University of Notre Dame
We are pleased to announce that we were selected to create a limited series of pens for the dedication of Duncan Hall.
On October 3, 2008 the University of Notre Dame officially dedicated its newest residence building, Duncan Hall. The building is named for its benefactor, Ray Duncan of Duncan Oil out of Denver, CO. Mr. Duncan searched for an appropriate remembrance gift for his family, friends and colleagues and selected Heritage pens. We are pleased to have provided over 80 individually handcrafted pens in either koa or pink ivory for this once in a lifetime event. The pens were delivered in custom designed, lined leather cases. Each pen was engraved with

Announcing the arrival of the "Heritage 18's"!
We are pleased to announce that our premium 18 karat gold nibs are available on all of our fountain pens.
The nibs can be ground to a fine or extra-fine point and virtually any shape, such as stub, cursive Italic, etc. The design is floral with an inkwell and quill pen motif. They are marked 18K - 750 which is standard jeweler's notation for 18 karat gold. The 18k gold is further embellished with 24k gold and platinum creating the beautiful two-tone presentation while preserving the working properties of 18k gold. These nibs provide for a fantastic writing experience and we think you are worth it! Our standard Heritage SF (semi-flex) gold and platinum plated nibs continue the tradition of fine German design, engineering and manufacture and are available for all models, as well.
The Official Home of the Jigsaw Puzzle Pen
New Version Available!
(Yes, I designed and developed it between 2005 and 2007 and continue to perfect it today, although other pen makers can and do make authorized versions with the Kallenshaan Woods kit.)
A jigsaw puzzle is a tiling puzzle that requires the assembly of numerous small, often oddly shaped, interlocking pieces. Each piece has a small part of a picture on it; when complete, a jigsaw puzzle produces a complete picture. Jigsaw puzzles were originally created by painting a picture on a flat, rectangular piece of wood, and then cutting that picture into small pieces with a jigsaw, hence the name. John Spilsbury, a London mapmaker and engraver, is credited with commercializing jigsaw puzzles around 1760[1]. Jigsaw puzzles have since come primarily to be made on cardboard.
Over the past three years I have worked on taking the traditionally two-dimensional design and applying it to the world of pens. The design has undergone several changes during this time, finally resulting in three different forms which are available through us, exclusively. The "Original Jigsaw Puzzle" is made from American ash and clearly defines the successful first step in the evolution of my concept. The "Tie-Dyed Jigsaw Puzzle" takes off on the original by introducing a rainbow of color splashes reminiscent of Peter Max colors from the 1960's. The "New Jigsaw Puzzle" goes yet a step further by incorporating 18 different woods from six continents into one pen. Due to the method of production, it is impossible to create a duplicate. A new version, completed in beautifully dyed and professionally stabilized woods, is now available.
